{"id":106286,"date":"2025-06-04T12:29:46","date_gmt":"2025-06-04T16:29:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/editionap.ca\/?p=106286"},"modified":"2026-02-17T21:52:17","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T20:52:17","slug":"champlain-township-man-charged-with-attempted-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tribune-express.ca\/en\/actualites\/champlain-township-man-charged-with-attempted-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"Champlain Township man charged with attempted murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hawkesbury OPP have arrested and charged a man with attempted murder.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alexandre Piette-Racine, 25, of Champlain Township was arrested and charged with attempted murder following police investigation of an incident in Hawkesbury May 29.<\/p>\n<p>Last Thursday at about 5:30 p.m. an OPP officer was hailed outside of a residence on Main Street East.<\/p>\n<p>The officer was told of an assault in the Pioneer Park area in downtown Hawkesbury. The victim, a 39-year-old man, was found and police provided first aid to deal with a number of stab wounds until paramedics could arrive on the scene.<\/p>\n<p>The man was taken to hospital for further treatment and later referred to the regional trauma centre for treatment of serious injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Police located Piette-Racine, suspected of involvement in the incident, and arrested him without any incident. He remained in custody until his schedule bail hearing in L\u2019Orignal on May 30.<\/p>\n<p>No further information is available. Police investigation of the incident continues.
