During the investigation an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was used. The driver failed the test and was brought back to detachment for further testing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of the investigation, Anna Perron, 67 years old, of Orleans, was charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operation while impaired \u2013 blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speeding \u2013 community zone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Obstruct plate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fail to have insurance card<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The motorist received a 90-day driver\u2019s licence suspension, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L\u2019Orignal on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Saturday, August 29, 2026, shortly after 11:45 p.m., officers stopped a motor vehicle for a traffic violation on Highway 34 in Champlain Township. During the investigation an Approved Screening Device (ASD) was used. The driver failed the test and was brought back to detachment for further testing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of the investigation, a 15 years old, of Champlain Township was charged with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Operation while impaired \u2013 blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation while impaired \u2013 alcohol and drugs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The vehicle was impounded for seven days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in L\u2019Orignal on Thursday, October 1, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid multiple impaired driving charges following two separate incidents.
