The regional health unit office in Hawkesbury is on the move.
“Our new and modern facilities will allow us to better serve the population in Hawkesbury and the surrounding area,” stated Dr. Paul Roumeliotis, chief medical officer for the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU), in a news release.
The Hawkesbury EOHU office will relocate to new premises at 297 Main Street West and should be set up and ready to offer services to residents by October 1.
“Seeing as it’s a single-storey building, the new office is accessible to all and offers plenty of parking as well,” stated Dr. Roumeliotis.
EOHU services and programs will remain available at the regional health unit’s current address at 134 Main Street East until September 25. The office will be closed September 26, 29 and 30 during the move to the new location.
Along with all the health services and advisory programs offered at its current location, the new EOHU office will feature a dental clinic to provide services to area clients through the Healthy Smiles Ontario program and the Ontario Seniors Dental Care program. The new EOHU office will have the same hours of operation as the old one. More information on the new location is available at www.eohu.ca or by phone 1-800-267-7120.
