The City of Clarence-Rockland put a complete freeze on building permit approvals today (April 8) following Premier Doug Ford’s announcement April 3 on new restrictions for Ontario’s construction industry as part of the provincial pandemic protection strategy. “Essential construction projects” include transportation and hospitals along with “critical construction work” to maintain petrochemical and other manufacturing plants needed to support essential needs.
