Weekend COVID spike as Ontario breaks daily record

The news followed an announcement that the province recorded the highest daily number of new cases since the pandemic began, with 700 reported on Monday morning, September 28. Of the 10 new local infections over the weekend, six were reported in Prescott-Russell, three in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, and one in Cornwall.
