“We dominated the game completely,” said Carl Bougie, who assumed the position of head-coach for the weekend, “It wasn’t a lack of effort on our part.”

The Cougars were leading 1-0 after two periods of play. Clarence Creek came back to equalize the game with about 10 minutes left to third period before scoring their goal in a contentious goaltender interference call.

Cougars fall to fifth place in the league standings, four points behind Castors.

“It was a four point game,” said Bougie.

After two months of playing in their temporary home in Hawkesbury, the Cougars are pleased with the large crowds in attendance, which reached nearly 200 spectators on Saturday.

“We’d like to thank everyone that comes to our games,” said Bougie. “It’s appreciated.”
