Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal collision that occurred on McGill Street in Hawkesbury on September 25, 2026, at approximately 8 a.m.
The collision involved a tractor-trailer and another vehicle. The driver of the tractor-trailer was pronounced dead despite lifesaving efforts. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to hospital as a precaution.
McGill Street remains closed between Spence Avenue and Main Street while OPP Technical Collision Investigators continue the investigation.
