Federal, provincial and municipal funding for the project was announced on Friday, December 18. As part of the improvements, about 450 metres of new storm sewer will be installed, while another 250 metres of undersized sewer would be replaced. An additional 450 metres of watermain would be installed and 450 metres of sanitary sewer would be relined, while fire hydrants, valves, manholes and catch basins for storm water run-off would be built.
