Emergency services responded to a workplace-related accident on Friday, October 29. The call came in at approximately 8:20 a.m. from a location on Concession Road 7 near County Road 15 in Alfred-Plantagenet Township. The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Prescott-Russell Paramedic Service, and the Alfred-Plantagenet Fire Department rushed to the scene, and a 34-year-old individual was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries by the Ornge Ambulance Service.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour is investigating the incident. The OPP will not provide any further information to protect the individual’s privacy.
