The Municipal Council of Grenville-sur-la-Rouge will hold a public consultation meeting on August 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at Town Hall, regarding a proposed amendment to the zoning by-law to allow and regulate detached accessory dwelling units (DADUs).
The proposed by-law includes:
- the addition of an official definition of a detached accessory dwelling unit;
- the establishment of siting and architectural integration standards;
- provisions governing the relationship between the principal dwelling and the accessory dwelling unit;
- the introduction of a conditional use authorization process within the affected zones.
Residents are invited to attend the consultation to learn more about the proposal and provide comments. The draft by-law also contains provisions that may be subject to approval by persons entitled to vote.
