Local organization Interlude is appealing to the region’s generosity to raise $150,000 for its 2026 fundraising campaign.

This target will support its wide range of free, accessible, and confidential services for women and children facing situations of violence.

«This annual campaign represents a unique opportunity for our community to come together throughout the year to support the women and children who need our services,» said Muriel Lalonde, Executive Director of Interlude.

With 31 staff members, 53 volunteers, and 10 offices across Prescott, Russell, Stormont, Dundas, and Glengarry counties, the organization has expanded its scope over the decades to establish itself as a multi-service agency dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of women.

Its services include a 24/7 support line, emergency shelter, one-on-one counselling, youth support, and prevention programs designed to foster independence and safety.

The 2025–2026 results reflect the scale of need addressed by Interlude’s services, with 736 external service files, 281 requests for housing support, 11 prevention workshops, and 75 women and children accommodated in its shelters.

A series of fundraising events
Over the coming months, several events and initiatives will give community members, businesses, and partners opportunities to directly support Interlude’s mission.

The next event is scheduled for September 26, featuring a country benefit concert by Andrew Charlebois. Fundraising efforts will continue November 26 at the Interlude Benefit Gala, hosted by Renee Wilkin, which will bring together local business partners and donors.

Tickets are also available for the annual raffle, featuring prizes such as a $3,000 travel voucher and a two-night stay at the Grand Lodge Mont-Tremblant. Local businesses are also encouraged to support the campaign by becoming corporate partners.
