A 41-year-old woman has been charged with arson after police investigated a suspicious fire at a residential building in Hawkesbury.
On Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:55 p.m., Hawkesbury OPP, Hawkesbury Fire Department, and United Counties of Prescott and Russell Paramedic Services responded to reports of a structure fire on Portelance Avenue.
The OPP has charged one person in connection with a suspicious fire.
Melissa Bordenuick of Hawkesbury has been charged with:
- Arson-disregard for human life
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on September 23, 2026.
