Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigators are asking for the public’s help in relation to an attempted robbery in Hawkesbury in late September.
Officer responded to reports of an incident at a gas station on John Street in Hawkesbury on Sunday, Sept. 28 shortly after 3:30 a.m. It was reported that a lone male had approached a store employee, threatened him and demanded money. As the employee yelled for help, the would-be thief fled by foot.
Officers were unable to locate the man after an extensive search of the area.
The individual is described as a large man. He was wearing a blue jacket, black ball cap, camo pants and white running shoes. The male’s face was covered with a neck warmer. A photo is attached.
The investigation is ongoing.
