The biggest celebration of excellence in business and community affairs in Prescott-Russell takes place in October.
The 17th Edition of the Gala d’Excellence is in October and it will be twice the celebration of business achievements than before. This year the Gala also marks the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Société du développement communautaire de Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation (SDCPRCDC) and its importance and efforts at providing guidance to new and existing businesses in the region and helping to both stimulate and support new business projects and promote the Prescott-Russell region to potential investors.
The Gala was created by the SDCPRCDC as part of the regional economic development agency’s efforts to highlight Prescott-Russell as a region for investment and to honour the achievements of local entrepreneurs. This year’s Gala is October 24 at the Caledonia Community Centre in St-Bernardin in The Nation Municipality.
“Today more than ever, the Gala d’Excellence is a valuable source of inspiration,” stated Patrick Brousseau, PRCDC board of directors chair. “By highlighting outstanding achivements and exceptional entrepreneurial journeys, we encourage the next generation of business leaders to pursue their ambitions with confidence.”
The Gala takes place every two years for presentation of awards that honour businesses and individuals for their innovation, leadership, growth, resilience, and community involvement. More than 300 guests representing business, municipal government, institutions and community agencies are expected to attend this year’s event.
