More childcare spaces at Cambridge School

The province has agreed to the Upper Canada District School Board’s (UCDSB) call for tenders to renovate the childcare centre at Cambridge Public School. The upgrades will result in 16 new licensed child-care spaces and a new childcare room at the school.

Provincial government officials noted that this $1.6 million investment will provide a new high-quality learning environment for Embrun children. This project is part of the province’s Priority Capital Program to create more childcare spaces for Ontario families.

« The funding for the Cambridge Public School childcare centre upgrade is great news for our community, » stated Jim McDonell, MPP for Stormont-Dundas-South Glengarry. “This investment will increase choice and flexibility for families and provide new opportunities for children in Embrun.”

« Our government is improving schools and creating childcare spaces for working families in Embrun, » stated Education Minister Stephen Lecce. “The progress we are making in adding childcare spaces at Cambridge Public School is a testament to the steps we are taking to provide families in the region with affordable, high-quality child care.”
