Next Monday night at the Robert Hartley Sports Complex will be a treat for local hockey fans as the town and the Hawkesbury Hawks will host this year’s Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) all-stars and prospects.
The CCHL announced that Hawkesbury will be the location for this year’s all-star and prospects games, taking place on Jan. 26.
For the first time since the 2023-2024 season all of the best prospects and current players in the CCHL will be on the ice in one building for an evening of hockey action, showcasing their talents.
The CCHL will use the league’s traditional Robinson vs. Yzerman format for making up the teams for the evening’s event.
The Prospects teams will consist of players born in the years 2007, 2008, and 2009. The All-Star teams’ players will be from the birth-year period of 2005 to 2006.
Puck drop for the Prospects game is at 5 p.m. For the All-Stars match, the game starts at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the games are sold at the door.
